Vacuum
forming machines are widely used to process plastic materials, the
process includes heating a plastic sheet to a point when it softens and
then draping it over a mould. Vacuum is applied simultaneously which
helps sucking the sheet into the mould; The material is then allowed to
cool, and thereafter the sheet is released from the mould using air
pressure. High technology and sophisticated vacuum machines use
hydraulic, pneumatic and heat controls enabling higher production output
and speed. Vacuum forming machines make use of extruded plastic sheets
and they may also require extra processing to trim, cut, drill ,polish
and decorate the formed plastic sheet for obtaining a finished part.
These machines use low forming pressures and also make use of low cost
tools as compared to other forming machines. Moulds used in such
machines are also manufactured using low cost raw materials.
