Polymer
of vinyl chloride, popularly known as PVC belongs to family of vinyl
resin and is used for manufacturing soft films for use in food packaging
and other products such as pipes, upholstery, fibres etc. It is colorless
and insoluble in most organic solvents. Manufacturers use PVC
manufacturing machines to produce flexible and semi flexible PVC colored
and transparent films and sheets as per customer requirements. These
machines are easy to operate and maintain.
PVC Manufacturing Process
In the initial phase, a monomer is polymerised into a polymer,
thereafter it is compounded with other material to obtain desired
properties of the polymer, to be further used in the end product.
Finally the polymer is fabricated, wherein the compound is melted to be
formed into the final shape product. There are a number of processes
undertaken for polymerization, compounding and fabrication of PVC to
suit different purpose.
