With
an increasing environmental conscious approach and eco-friendly
industrial practices, plastic scraps recycling is a concept that is
rapidly catching on. The development of plastic recycling machine
requires a lot of customer's or user's input as they know much better
than manufacturers, the tricks to make a machine working the way it
should, within its specific field of application and at the same time
delivering favorable results.
Plastic recycling systems consist of all the machine that are used for
sorting, size reduction, separation washing, rinsing, drying and so on.
This recycling is done in various steps:
Sorting: In most of the plastic recycling lines, sorting of
scraps is the very first step. This sorting can be manual or automatic.
Some of the equipment that are used for sorting:
- Bales Breaker
- Conveyor Belts
- Detectors and Separators ( with different configurations and
Trommels)
Size Reduction: After separation, the plastic scraps
are treated for size reduction. The equipment used here are:
Separation: A good separation makes the final product pure
and Dry Separation and Wet separation with equipment like:
- Sink-Float Tanks
- Hydrocyclones
Washing: There are different ways of washing a separated
plastic. There are some set Pre-Washing systems (according to the scarp
types), together with rinsing methods (with Rinse-Dryers) and finally
drying. The fianl drying is probably one of the most difficult things to
achieve in plastic recycling. It is done by the means of mechanical
Centrifuges.
Apart from the above processes, a plastic recycling machine also
uses equipment like:
- Classifiers
- Dosing Units
- Mixing Silo
- Agglomerator (densifier)
- Pelletizing Lines
- Polymer Filtration
