A DMC machine is used to mould Dough or Bulk Moulding Compounds (DMC or
BMC). This plastic molding machinery is designed and manufactured for
use in plastic molding production plants. Depending on the type of
process used to mould a DMC, different machine are used.
The two basic molding processes are used to mould DMC are:
- Compression or Transfer Moulding
- Injection Moulding
As the use of DMC materials has increased, special designs of
machines become available with dedicated features. A Microprocessor
control ensures optimum processing conditions. DMC components are hard,
rigid moldings with excellent electrical resistance properties. Due to
this, they have replaced glass and ceramics for insulating applications.
