Conveyor belting is used for light and medium duty applications to even
heavy duty usage. Conveyor Belts Molding Presses have larger planten
size & high pressing capacities. They can be designed as per
customer's specifications & requirements of varying capacities,
using multiple cylinders & plantens.
Conventional Conveyor System
In simple language, a conveyor system is a belt wrapped around a line
of wheels and suspended so that when the wheels turn the belt, the whole
contraption doesn't take off down the lane. When used without a belt,
such a device is called a roller conveyor system or live roller system.
This kind of system can be lined up with the back end of a truck and
heavy boxes are placed on them & then pushed along to the end.
Powered Conveyor System
On the other hand, a powered conveyor belt has two pulleys at its end,
with the loop of material that rotates around them supported by rollers
along its length. The pulleys are powered so that the belt moves on its
own. These are used in every day applications and various industries
from multi tiered contraptions on mining sites to conveyor transports
such as escalators or the moving sidewalks in airports.
Some of the frequently used belt materials are: Aramid, Cotton/Canvas,
EPDM, Steel Cord Wire Mesh or Weave, Leather Neoprene, Nitrile, Nylon
Polyester Polyurethane/Urethane, PVC, Silicone etc. Of these, natural
rubber compounds such as gum rubber (polyisoprene) and latex are much in
use because of their industrial properties.
Special conveyor belts are customized for for various Industries in
different fields like:
- Chemical
- Cement
- Pharmaceuticals
- Engineering
- Mining Paper
- Ceramic Tiles
- Batteries
- Tobacco
- Textile
- Fertilizer
- Dairy
Important parameters that are considered while purchasing a
Conveyor Belt Moulding Press are:
- Working Load per Inch Width
- Maximum Operating Speed
- Minimum Pulley Size
- Operating Temperature
- Food Grade Rated or not
- Perforated / Timing Features
- V-Guides / V-Ropes
